Services We Provide

  • Consultation: Our doctor will meet with you and assess your dental issues and what type of treatment you may need. You will be able to ask questions and learn more about endodontic treatment.
  • Non-Surgical Root Canal Therapy: A root canal is a routine endodontic procedure that can relieve pain and treat infection inside the tooth. The doctor removes the infected pulp and cleans the infected root canals, smoothing and reshaping them to prevent reinfection. Endodontists perform many more root canals than general dentists and have greater expertise.
  • Non-Surgical Root Canal Retreatment: A tooth that underwent a root canal may begin to hurt again after months or years. This problem happens when the dentist misses small bits of infected material. The endodontist can repeat this procedure and treat the new infection.
  • Apicoectomy (Endodontic Surgery): Endodontic surgery treats infections at the tip of the tooth's root. The doctor removes the root's tip and clears the infection, resealing the root to prevent future problems. The procedure is also called a root-tip resection.
  • Single-Tooth Internal Bleaching: Blood and other fluids may stain a tooth's interior surfaces during and after a root canal. This staining may be visible from the exterior. Endodontists can introduce a bleaching solution into the tooth to restore its attractive appearance, then reseal it.
  • Internal Resorption: This problem may stem from dental trauma. The tooth begins to break down from the inside, becoming reabsorbed into the body. To stop this problem, the endodontist removes the pulp, cleanses the root canals, and applies a calcium hydroxide solution to care for the problem material.
  • Apexogenesis: When children's teeth do not have strong and healthy roots. To heal the roots, the endodontist removes the inflamed pulp and introduces a bioceramic material to help restore the roots.
  • External Resorption: If a tooth breaks, chips, and turns brittle easily, it may be subject to external resorption. Resorption is a condition in which the bone that supports a tooth breaks down and eats away at the root of the tooth because it thinks the nerve is diseased. Resorption is a natural process for primary teeth but a severe problem for permanent teeth. It can happen due to disease or trauma. Endodontists treat teeth experiencing resorption by performing root canals and introducing calcium hydroxide to control damaged cells.
  • Apexification: When a child's teeth do not have strong roots, they could fall out. Apexification helps secure the root's apex (tip) by treating it with a mineral solution to promote hardening.
  • Laser Endodontics: Lasers improve endodontic procedures by making them quicker, safer, and more comfortable. Our Fotona LightWalker Laser helps the doctor provide excellent treatment results.
  • Emergency Treatment: If you have a broken, knocked-out, chipped, or cracked tooth, you may be in severe pain and need emergency treatment. We offer appointments after hours. Call 407-494-3636 to reach our Emergency After Hours Dental Care Helpline after 8 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions About Endodontic Care

What should I do if my tooth is knocked out?

Call us for an emergency appointment. The sooner you can see an endodontist, the better. Within an hour is ideal, but do not give up hope if it has been longer than that. We should be able to reseat the tooth in its socket and splint it to its neighbors to promote bonding with the jawbone.

What are the symptoms that mean I may need a root canal?
  • Severe toothache that persists
  • Pain upon chewing or putting pressure on the tooth
  • Extreme sensitivity to heat and cold
  • Swelling or pus along the gum line
  • Swelling in the face or jaw
  • Lymph node swelling
What happens if I put off a root canal?
Root canals relieve pain and could save your natural tooth from extraction. Putting off a root canal can be dangerous for your teeth and your general health. The infection may spread between teeth, and you could develop bodily symptoms of an infection.
