What Is Single Tooth Internal Bleaching?

Teeth can become discolored after a root canal because blood or other fluids have seeped into the pulp cavity and stained the inside of the tooth. To whiten the tooth, we bleach it from the inside out.

We call this endodontic procedure “The Walking Bleach Method”. We make a small hole in the tooth and place a bleaching paste inside the tooth. This can be done until the desired result is achieved and you’re happy with your smile.

The hole is then permanently sealed, and you’re left with a beautiful, healthy smile.

While anything is possible, the barrier created in apexification generally has a very high success rate in keeping out unwanted germs and bacteria.
How long does it take the barrier to form with an apexification?
The barrier varies from person to person, but it can take anywhere between 6 and 24 months for the barrier to form.
