Amanda was born in August 1958 in the Florida city of Winter Park. She is an American actress, director, and comedian who is best known for her role as Marcy Rhoades D’Arcy on the Fox sitcom “Married with Children,” which ran from 1987 to 1997 in the United States, and for her performance in the 1985 horror film Fright Night, in which she co-starred with William Ragsdale. She was born in New York City and raised in Los Angeles. Her first big break came when she landed the role of Amanda Cousins on the hit television show “All My Children” (1982-1983).
